Featured in this lot is this 19th century Vaquero double mounted silver spurs. The spurs show a double-mounted silver and heavy iron construction and originate from the late 1800's. These spurs display wonderful eight point silver sided rowels and ornate silver double-mounting, showing a truly a wonderful representation of early Mexican Vaquero Cowboy spurs. The shanks show a hand placed inlaid silver horseshoe with double-mounted etched silver holding the eight-point beveled rowels. Each side of the spur shows a double-silver mounted diagonal bar design with a sweeping double mounted silver design on the other side of the spurs. The condition of this pair of spurs is good, with no obvious signs of damage and some oxidation and patina consistent with the age of the spurs. The measurements of this pair of spurs are 2" x 3 1/2" x 4 3/4".
