Offered in this lot is a 1911 first edition printing of "Life and Labors of Bishop Hare" by M.A. DeWolfe Howe. This book is a biography of American Protestant bishop, William Hobart Hare. The title notes that Hare was 'Apostle the Sioux'. It was written by Mark Anthony de Wolfe Howe, an American author and editor. He served as editor for magazines, such as Youth's Companion and Atlantic Monthly. He wrote several biographies on notable figures, including this one. The book has a full green cloth binding with gilt stamping to the front board and to the spine. There is light rubbing and bumping to the extremities and to the head and tail of the spine.
