For your consideration is this 1971 first edition of "The Art of the Old West" from the collection of the Gilcrease Institute and selections and text done by Paul A. Rossi and David C. Hunt. The book covers a wide variety of topics from early renderings of plants and landscape to cowboys, Indians and traders plus more. It gives a broad view of the artists and others who traveled west to explore and of what they found there. The book features artists such as: C.M. Russell, A.J. Miller, O.C. Seltzer, John James Audubon and more. The book features a dusk jacket with the title and an image depicting Native Americans on horse back hunting buffalo with their bow and arrows. The original hardcover is a white cloth with an embossed image on it, but can't really be seen as the dust jacket is taped on. The book is in good condition with little to no wear present. the interior pages are in good condition as well with no signs of tears or foxing present.
