Featured in this lot is this first edition "The Sunset Trail" by Alfred Henry Lewis and was interred at the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum; Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. The book comes with an original museum tag that reads as follows: Dr. Shurtleff was reading a copy of this book as he watched over Wyatt's last moments. He wrote on page 348 ... "Wyatt Berry Stapp Earp died Jan. 13, 1929 at 8:05 in the morning. I was with him when he died peacefully in his sleep at 4004 W. 17th Street - Los Angeles, Ca. Dr. Fred C. Shurtleff." The condition of this book is well preserved with with some slight wear to the cover of the book and browning to the pages consistent with age but otherwise shows a well preserved condition. The measurements of this book is 7 1/2" x 5 1/4". The collective weight of this book is 1lb 2oz.
