Featured in this lot is a 1904 First Edition of a vintage children's hardcover series book, "Adventures of Buffalo Bill," by Colonel William F. Cody, Harper & Brothers Publishers, New York and London. The book chronicles the thrilling life and times of the legendary frontiersman, one of the greatest adventurers of the late 1800s and early 1900s. From his start as an army scout during the westward expansion to the Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show, this book is an exciting read as Buffalo Bill's own words grace its pages. A wonderful story of his long, eventful, heroic career and is supplemented with a chapter by a loving, life-long fdriend covering his last days, death, and burial. The whole work comprising an authentic history of many events inseparably interwoven with the exploration, settlement, and development or our Great Western Plains. This red illustrated cloth bound hardcover is in fair to nice condition, front cover vignette of figure crouched behind a tree with his long rifle, scuffing noted to cover edges, spine loose. Intact pages exhibit age tanning and slight foxing. Measures 4.75"W x 6.75"L x .75"D, weight 12oz.
