Featured in this lot is this framed original oil on board called In The Adirondacks: Black Bear by Utah artist Nicholas Coleman. This is a wonderful oil on board of a black bear in the forest poised and facing front with realistic textures of the forest and life like example of a mature black bear. The painting shows the artist signature in the bottom right hand corner. Nicholas Coleman was born in Provo, Utah. Brought up in an artistic environment, Coleman has been painting and drawing for as long as he can remember. He has traveled extensively through North America, Africa, and Europe and New Zealand. Coleman has lived and worked in Brazil for two years. The condition of this framed oil on board is good with no obvious signs of damage to the artwork and shows slight wear to the frame with good overall condition. The measurements of this framed artwork are 26 1/8" x 22 1/8" and the visible art measures 20" x 16". Just recently in 2020 one of Nicholas Coleman's pieces sold at auction for over $30,000.
