For your consideration is this original Dau-Law-Taine, a Kiowa artist, painting on canvas, 2020. Darwin Tsoodle Kiowa (Dau-Law-Taine) is an Native American artist born in Anadarko, Oklahoma and is known for his depictions of Native American Braves on horseback. The painting depicts a Native Brave on horseback riding through a moonlit, snowy and windy night. The warrior is heavily decorated in paint and battle equipment and riding a spotted appaloosa horse. The rider is wearing a large fur hat with bison horns, and traditional Native American winter clothing and yielding a feather decorated spear in his right hand, and a shield in his left. There is a bow and arroe on his back. The Brave and his horse both display wonderful attention to detail given to the contrast of the full moon sky with a mountain skyline and the battle dress of the warriors. The art shows wonderful use of color and excellent style consistent with the artist's work. The piece is signed in the bottom right hand corner reading "Dau-Law-Taine Kiowa copyright 2020. The artwork is in pristine condition with no obvious signs of damage. This piece measures 12" x 16"
