Darwin Tsoodle Kiowa (Dau-Law-Taine) is a Native American artist who was born in Anadarko, Oklahoma and is known for his depictions of Native American Braves on horseback. The painting depicts a Native Brave on horseback, shooting a bow and arrow. He is heavily decorated in paint and battle equipment and is riding a galloping, spotted appaloosa horse; both display wonderful attention to detail given to the contrast of the dark sky with a mountain skyline and the battle dress of the warriors. There is a flock of birds flying overhead. The art shows wonderful use of color and excellent style. The piece is signed in the bottom right hand corner, reading "Dau-Law-Taine Kiowa copyright 2020”.
