Featured in this lot is this original framed oil on board painting titled "Spring Runoff" by Montana artist Jerolyn Dirks circa 20th century. The artwork features a wonderfully and professionally crafted oil on board construction that shows a stream with some smaller rapids flowing through a thick portion of a forest with slight light peaking through the back thicket of trees. The artist signature in in the bottom right hand corner. Artist Jerolyn Dirks has lived for the past two decades on a small farm north of Bozeman, Montana with her husband, Gene Brodeur. “We both love the west – I paint the landscape and Gene is a producer for Montana Public Televison.”Dirks earned a degree in fine arts from the University of California at Los Angeles. The condition of this framed oil on board is well preserved with no obvious signs of damage and shows some slight wear tot he frame consistent with age but otherwise shows a well preserved condition. The measurements of this framed oil on board is 43 1/4" x 37 1/4" and the visible artwork measures 35 5/8" x 29 5/8". The collective weight of this framed oil on board is 12lb 2oz.
