The center stone is a prong set rectangular cushion cut natural tanzanite gemstone that measures 17.70 x 14.24 x 11.09mm and an exact weight 21.41ct with eye clean clarity and classified as type I with medium dark and moderately strong violet color and a very good cut grade and transmit light with no distortion and is transparent. The center stone and pendant as a whole are decorated with 148 prong set round brilliant cut diamonds that measure 1.80-1.10 x 0.87mm with an approximate weight of 1.00ct and is graded in setting with SI1 - I1 clarity and color gradient of F-G. Tanzanite is an exceedingly rare precious gemstone that is only found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania.
