Featured in this lot is this ex-museum or collection 3 1/8" MacCorkle projectile point circa 8,850 to 8,750 B.P or Early Archaic Period. The projectile point features a wonderfully and professionally knapped off white chert material construction that shows a serrated sedge with a sharp tip and semi cluster cross section with sharp right angle shoulders and a fat expanding stem with recurvate stem that shows sharp angle but rounded flared stem tips. The condition of this projectile point is well preserved with no obvious signs of damage and shows a well preserved overall condition. The measurements of this projectile point is 3 1/8" x 1 1/4". The collective weight of this projectile point is 18.8g.
