Featured in this lot is this 3.28ct Tanzanite VS diamond and 18k white gold ring with IAS paperwork. The ring features a polished, stamped and tested 18k white gold construction that is marked 'Oscar Friedman' and '18k' mark on the inside of the ring band. The centerstone is a oval cut tanzanite gemstone that shows fine dark blue/purplish coloration and total weight of 3.28 carats. The centerstone and split shoulders are decorated with natural round brilliant cut diamonds that shows VS - SI clarity that shows coloration of G-H and a total weight of 0.61 carats. Tanzanite Is a very rare precious gemstone that is only found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967 by Tiffany & Company who named the stone Tanzanite. Tanzantite is unique due to its exceptional pleochroism (an optical phenomenon in which a stone has different colors when observed at different angles). This example is a nearly flawless eye clarity and unbelievable depth with transparent finish. The piece comes complete with IAS(Independent Appraisals Services, a GIA certified lab IAS Appraisal Number#: 38921EW) report and appraisal confirming the above info and giving a total value of $8,730.00.
