Featured in this lot is this 3.66 carat tanzanite diamond and 18k white gold ring with IAS paperwork. This ring features a tested, polished, and stamped 18k gold lady's, custom-made, triple shoulder ring band with an 'Orianne' hallmark next to a 18k gold stamp. The ring features a beautiful central oval cut natural tanzanite stone with medium blue to purplish color and a total weight of 3.66 carats. Tanzanite is a very rare precious gemstone that is only found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. It was originally discovered in 1967 by Tiffany & Company, who named the stone Tanzanite. This example is unique due to its exceptional pleochroism (an optical phenomenon in which a stone has different colors when observed at different angles). The center stone is profusely decorated with a total of 13 natural baguette diamonds; the total weight of baguette and round diamonds is .083 carats and the diamonds feature VS quality and G - H color gradient. The piece comes complete with IAS (Independent Appraisals Services, a GIA certified lab IAS Appraisal Number#: 44921EW) report and appraisal confirming the above info and giving a total value of $7,290.00. The ring size is US 7.
