This is an excellent hand-woven flat weave rug by master weaver, Pedro Sosa. The rug was made using 100% soft, fine, hand spun wool angora wool blend yarns in a beautiful Third Phase Chief Blanket pattern. The rug was hand woven with a tight weave using Mohair Wool blend, which offers natural variegation and durability with color fast aniline dyes. The tight, hand-woven weave, displayed with natural fleece tones, is in the fine Third Phase Chief Blanket pattern of the time-honored Zapotec, multi-generational craft by a master weaver, Pedro Sosa. This rug shows iconic Zapotec design with thick, symmetrical Third Phase Chief Blanket Crystal design, a large maroon diamond decoration design, and stripe decorated bands with designs including coloration of grey and cream on a red field. The piece is brand new, in pristine condition, with a fine, tight weave. The rug measures 4’ by 6.5’ (4 foot by 6 foot 5 inches). This is a brand-new rug.
