This is an outstanding scarce 43.16 carat Tanzanite loose gemstone with IGL paperwork. The stone exhibits an exceptionally scarce large 43.16 carat size with very good cushion cut having measurements of 24.10 x 18.67 x 11.59mm. The stone shows an exceptional neon violet-blue (purplish-blue) color which is considered AAA+. Tanzanite Is a very rare precious gemstone that is only found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967 by Tiffany & Company who named the stone Tanzanite. Tanzantite is unique due to its exceptional pleochroism (an optical phenomenon in which a stone has different colors when observed at different angles). This example is a nearly flawless eye clarity and unbelievable depth with transparent finish. The piece comes with an IGL (Independent Gemological Laboratories) appraisal which gives a retail value of $69,750.00. This is possibly the finest natural Tanzanite loose gemstone with exceptional color offered for public sale.
