Featured in this lot is this ex-museum or collection 5 1/4" Lost Lake projectile point circa 9,000 to 8,500 B.P. or Early Archaic Period. The projectile point features a wonderfully and professionally knapped point from off white or cream chert material that is medium in length with a triangular corner notch design. The point is finely serrated with a sharpened rounded tip. The cross section is slightly rhomboid and slightly beveled with an excurvate blade and shows barbed sharp shoulders with corner notched and a flared expanding stem with a flat foot. The condition of this projectile point is well preserved with no obvious signs of damage and shows a well preserved overall condition. The measurements of this projectile point is 5 1/4" x 2". The collection of this projectile point is 61.8g. The point is marked with an ex-museum or ex-collection number as follows: 10239.
