Featured in this lot is this 6.07ct tanzanite diamond and platinum earring pair with GGA paperwork. The pair of earrings feature a polished, stamped, and tested platinum construction that is marked on the earrings as follows: Oscar Friedman - PT950. The earrings feature a total of four natural cushion brilliant faceted cut tanzanite with measurements of 7.5 x 7.7 / 6.1 x 5.9mm and show a bluish violet coloration with a type 1 clarity and a excellent symmetry with a total weight of 6.07ct. Tanzanite Is a very rare precious gemstone that is only found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967 by Tiffany & Company who named the stone Tanzanite. Tanzantite is unique due to its exceptional pleochroism (an optical phenomenon in which a stone has different colors when observed at different angles). This example is a nearly flawless eye clarity and unbelievable depth with transparent finish. The dangle earrings are profusely decorated with a total of 42 round brilliant cut diamonds with measurements of 2.8 x 2.3mm and shows a SI1 - SI2 clarity and coloration of G - H and a total weight of 2.67ct.
