Featured in this lot is this ruby and diamond, 18k gold tennis bracelet. The bracelet shows 18k yellow gold construction with a tennis bracelet design and a gold weight of 17.41GM. The bracelet also shows a hidden insert clasp connector design. The tennis bracelet is decorated with a total of 28 red pear cut rubies with a collective weight of 9.83 carats. The rubies are decorated with pear shape halo design with a total of 532 round cut brilliant diamonds that have a collective weight of 1.41 carats. Reference to this bracelet as a tennis bracelet began in 1987 during a tennis Open match—the American tennis player, Chris Evert, suddenly lost her diamond bracelet in the middle of the game. The hallmark is clearly shown on the underside of the female end of the clasp as 'RI', along with an 18k gold stamp to the left of the hallmark. The measurements of this bracelet from clasp to clasp are 7 1/2" and 1/4" x 1/4".
