He specializes in contemporary Southwest jewelry. He was born in Gallup, New Mexico, and raised in Albuquerque, where he was taught the jewelry business since birth. His grandmother was from Santa Clara Pueblo, and his grandfather was also Native (White Mountain Apache). He learnt the skill from his grandfather. This beautifully crafted sterling and Number 8 turquoise squash blossom necklace shows two, double strands of sterling beads with 5 blossoms set on each double strand, totaling 10. The horseshoe shaped naja is adorned with twelve pieces of polished Number 8 turquoise. Set in the center of the naja is sterling horse effigy. The back of the naja is signed by the artist reading, "Adam Fierro / Sterling". The piece shows good condition overall with no wear or damage present. The naja measures 3 7/8" L x 2 3/4" W x 1/2" D, the necklace measures 23 1/2" L from clasp to clasp and the blossoms measure 1 7/8" L x 3/4" W x 3/4" D. It has a total weight of 254 grams.
