This is a first edition of "A Popular Life of Gen. Geo. A. Custer" by Frederick Whittaker published in 1876. The book provides a comprehensive biography of General Custer from his birth and childhood until his untimely death at the hands of Native American Indians at the Battle of the Little Bighorn on June 25, 1876. The book shows fair overall condition with damage to the binding as shown. It measures 6" x 8.5".
