Featured in this lot we have a percussion cap A. W. Spies American black powder rifle chambered in .44 caliber. The rifle displays a 28" long heavy octagonal barrel, walnut stock, dual percussion cap action, lock plate, brass butt plate, and brass stock storage door. The lock plate is marked "A. W. Spies" across the side. The lock plate is also etched with vine and floral designs. The rifle shows its original adjustable rear sight, blade front sight, and flip up pin hole sight on the stock. The rifle shows good condition overall with a tag reading "Don't Cock", so the action is untested. No Serial Number. This firearm qualifies as an Antique, and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
