Featured in this lot is this bear cubs and porcupine lithograph from Montana artist Ace Powell born 1912 and died 1978. The lithograph features two bear cubs messing around with a porcupine. Ace Powell's signature can be seen in the bottom left hand corner. and the frame shows a composite faux burl construction. Asa Lynn "Ace" Powell was an American painter, sculptor, and etcher of genre scenes and imagery relating to Indians, cowboys, horses, and wildlife. His artwork was influenced by that of fellow Montana artist, Charles M. Russell. The condition of this framed lithograph is good with no obvious signs of damage and in good overall condition. The measurements of this framed lithograph are 16 5/8" x 13 5/8" and the visible art measures 9 3/8" x 7 3/8". The piece is referred to as a litho and could also be referred to as a print or poster.
