The lot features an original polychrome painted pottery bowl or jar (olla) from the Acoma Pueblo Native American Indians signed, “Acoma G.S.” This Pottery Jar is handmade of natural clay indigenous to the area and is decorated using mineral stone paint. This wonderful jar's design is bold. It is repeated three times. By keeping the number of designs to only three, the potter was able to make each one large and prominent. The jar is marked g.s. Acoma on the bottom. The jar measures 5" tall and 19" around the outside circumference, with a 4" opening. The pot is in good condition, featuring no obvious signs of damage.
