Featured in this lot is this beautiful lithograph called "Indian Summer" from Adolf Sehring (born 1930 and passed 2015). The lithograph features a beautiful scene of a pasture with the main house in the distance and cows grazing and watering in the creek through the pasture. The artist’s signature can be seen in the bottom right-hand corner of the lithograph and is numbered 760/1000. The piece features a Certificate of Authenticity in an envelope in the back. Born in Russia, Sehring's family emigrated to the United States in 1949 and settled in Philadelphia, PA. In 1951, he was sent to Korea for combat, but was transferred to Combat Intelligence to draw maps and strategic overlays. During this time, he honed his artistic skills, drawing and painting pin-ups to boost troop morale, in addition to documenting war scenes and figures. Upon returning to the US, he finally settled in Virginia, fully committing himself to the Fine Arts. His realistic paintings are powerful in their technique and details. The condition of this framed lithograph is good, with no obvious signs of damage to the artwork or the frame.
