Offered in this lot are two pieces of African folk art. The first piece is a wood burning picture of a male lion. By using reverse coloring, leaving the natural color of the wood to show through, the lion appears to be in a night scene. The picture is signed M.B. in the lower right corner. The wood is 14 1/2" X 8 1/2" X 1/2". The next piece of art is a "hammered Copper" piece. This piece shows two men bringing fish to a man and a woman by a fire. The dress of the people in the art is modern. The copper piece measures 12 3/4" X 8 1/4". Both of these pieces probably originate from Zambia.
