Featured in this lot is this African hippo tooth kubu ceremonial water pipe from Zaire, Central Africa. The Pipe shows a large basin base with hand carved design and twisting rope design with bumps throughout. The stems on either side show two fertility pieces carved from hippo tooth and a shaped cartridge. The bowl is decorated similarly to the rest of the pipe with a large bowl. The condition of this water pipe is good, with a slight repair to the mouthpiece. The measurements of this Kubu ceremonial water pipe are 11 1/4" x 3 3/4" x 14".
