Featured in this lot is this professional taxidermy African Greater Kudu half hide. Eastern and Southern Africa are home to the large antelope species known as the African kudu. The primary diet of kudus is comprised of leaves, twigs, and bark from trees and shrubs. Fruits, flowers, and grass are also known to be consumed by them. Typically solitary or found in small groups of up to six, kudus are elusive and reserved creatures. The meat, hides, and impressive horns of kudus are the main reasons they are hunted. This is a half hide and shows the hind section of the Kudu. The hide features colors of white, tan and brown throughout with stripe of white going across the hide. The hide shows good condition overall with no signs of obvious damage present. The hide measures 38" L x 64" W.
