Offered in this lot are five necklaces of African trade beads and seeds. The first necklace is made of thin, sliced, polished Coconut shell disks. There are two Millefiori beads at the knot of this necklace. The necklace is 37" in length and is strung on cotton twine. The next necklace is made of glass beads and Eucalyptus seeds. This necklace measures 32" long. There are two spiral sea shells. The glass beads are small, round, and 1/2" tube beads of yellow, red, white, and black. There are eighteen Eucalyptus seeds. The next two necklaces are made of striped glass beads. One is strung on cotton string and measures 23" in length, with beads averaging 1/2" in length. The next necklace is on raffia fiber and measures 28", with beads averaging 1/4" to 3/8". The last necklace was on raffia fiber but is broken. These matching green beads with red and blue stripes are an average of 1/2" long by 3/8" wide.
