Featured in this lot is this beautiful, cameo glass vase after renowned French artist Emile Galle (1846-1904) in the early 1900s. Emile Galle (8 May 1846 in Nancy - 23 September 1904 in Nancy) was a French artist and designer who worked in glass, and is considered to be one of the major innovators in the French Art Nouveau movement. He was noted for his designs of Art Nouveau glass art and Art Nouveau furniture, and was a founder of the École de Nancy or Nancy School, a movement of design in the city of Nancy, France. This vase shows a green and black color scheme with the black coloring more prominent towards the bottom. Green floral leaves and vines surround the piece. It is marked on the bottom reading, "Galle". It shows good condition overall with no wear or damage present. It measures 3 1/4" L x 3 1/4" W x 7 3/4" H and weighs 10 ounces.
