Featured in this lot is this Afton and Collier point pair dated from Late Archaic and Mississippian period and 5,000 - 3,000 B.P. and 500 - 300 B.P. There are two points in this collection. The first point is called an Afton point or pentagonal knife with a medium blade and a pentagonal flat blade with an angular point and shows a stem bottom. The second point is called a Collier point; this is medium and triangular with a notch point and a think elliptical cross section. The blade is serrated and shows a convex base. The condition of these points is good, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this pair of points are 3 1/2" x 1" x 1/4" and 3 7/8" x 1 1/2" x 1/4".
