The maker was manufactured by Alaska Freezer company located in Winchendon, Massachusetts and appears to be from the mid 1900's. The maker shows a wood barrel exterior with a metal crank system on the top connected to a metal cylinder at the center. The interior container is set on a pivot point with a twin bladed rotating paddle insert. It is marked in a number of places, reading "Alaska Freezer - 10QT - Made in the U.S.A. - 6-8-10" across the top, sides, or top interior. This ice cream maker would make a great addition to any collection or display set. The piece is in good condition overall showing wear and rust indicative of age and use.
