This is an excellent collection of six original nude sketches by Alexandr Egorov, a Russian artist. The collection exhibits six pieces done in charcoal and graphite exhibiting several nude women and one woman posing in a dress with an umbrella. Artists of many era’s have turned to the study and sketching of naked bodies due to the complexity, aesthetics, plasticity, form, sensuality, poetic lines, grace and the personification of God in man. Egorov Alexander was born in Nizhny Novgorod, central Russia in 1985, a city situated close to Volga river in Russian, the longest river in Europe. He attended a fine art school at the local “House of Culture” in Nizhny Novgorod at a young age with his first teacher being artist Gubanov V.V. Later in 2004 he entered the Nizhny Novgorod Art College studying painting, graduating in 2009 and then attending St. Petersburg State Academy of Painting and Sculpture named after Ilya Repin, a famous Russian artist of the 19th Century, this academy is known by many as being one of if not the best University of Art in the world. After graduating Alex has gone on to have a number of high profile exhibits in Russia as well as his paintings being in the collections of Saint Petersburg I.E. Repin collection, State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia, Russian Century gallery and other large private collections in China, Russia, USA, England and Ukraine. Each is signed by the artist and dated 2021 being from his more recent collections. Each of the six original works of art measure 11.75” by 8.25” and are in excellent condition.
