Featured in this lot is this "Alice in Wonderland" Lewis Carroll Centennial Edition lithograph by John Tenniel. The framed lithograph is wonderfully and professionally crafted and features an iconic scene of the tea party and shows Alice at the end of the table next to the rabbit and the Mad Hatter with tea cups and a tea pot on the table. The piece is quoted at the bottom to the scene. Sir John Tenniel was an English illustrator, graphic humorist and political cartoonist prominent in the second half of the 19th century. An alumnus of the Royal Academy of Arts in London, he was knighted for artistic achievements in 1893, the first such honour ever bestowed on an illustrator or cartoonist. The condition of this framed lithograph is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this framed lithograph is 25" x 31" and the visible artwork measures 23 1/4" x 29 1/2".
