The lot features a fantastic late 19th Century American Indian Dag fighting knife with beaver back presentation pattern attributed to the Northern Plains Native American Indians. The piece shows a walnut beaver back paddle-dag pattern handle in traditional pattern with round guard, diamond hour glass handle and tapering round pommel end having silver stud tacks and various old brass trade tacks adornment. The blade is not marked with a markers touchmark and shows the traditional large double edge dag blade with a nice smooth patina from age and use. Truly a nice late 19th Century example with early style pattern and nice original patina. Provenance: From the ex-collection of Dale Harrison from Cincinnati, Ohio. Measures overall 13.25”L by 2.5”W.
