The lot features a unique Native American Indian trade knife with an artful pewter inlay originating from the 1800’s. The piece shows a hardwood, likely a rosewood with dark hand oil stained patina from much use, that is inlaid with a unique bar and circle pattern, often found on Great Lakes Woodlands Indian pipes and dag presentation knives. The guard and pommel are also set with poured pewter. The blade shows a nice thin metal with dark coloring and false back edge that is unmarked. This 19th Century piece is in good overall condition for its early age and measures 7 7/8”L.
