Featured in this lot we have a Anaconda mining company plumbing advertising sign originating from the early to mid 20th century. The advertising sign shows the Anaconda logo at the top along with an advertisement for a New York plumbing company. Anaconda Copper Mining Company was founded in 1881 out of Anaconda, Montana and was a large international mining company until it shut down in 1983. The sign shows a yellow/ tan background with green lettering reading "Anaconda from mine to consumer - Brass pipe and copper tubes installed by Bob's Plumbing service 57 Springville - Eggertsville, N.Y. Phone PA 2317" across the front. The piece is constructed out of metal sheeting with one painted side. The sign shows good condition for its age with wear and chipped paint primarily across the sides and bottom. The piece measures 23 5/8" tall by 17 5/8" wide.
