For your consideration is this collection of ancient Native American stone tools, three axe heads and one grooved hammerstone. Two of the axe heads show 3/4 grooves, the third is flat on one side and has a groove on top, bottom and other side. The hammerstone shows a full 4/4 groove. One of the axe heads appears to have had its poll shortened. The artifacts were found in Illinois; they show good condition. The longest tool is an axe that measures just over 5" long and is about 2.5" wide.
