For sale in this lot is a hand crafted birch bark 13' 6" canoe, originating from around the first quarter of the 1900's. The canoe shows a beautiful birch bark shell, showing live edge details. The interior of the canoe is made with a layer of vertical birch slat, and a layer of horizontal birch slat on-top. The rim of the canoe is secured with galvanized nails, while the cross bars are fastened with rawhide lashing. The canoe shows good condition overall, showing some slight separation in the hull, but displaying impeccably. The canoe measures 13' 6" long, 31 7/8" wide, and approximately 21" deep.
