Featured in this lot is a beautiful antique 10 KG black iron and marble plate balance scale, c. early 1900's. This balance features one marble (white speckled) weighting plate and the other cast iron. The scale is marked "10 KG" and features a unique cast iron tooling design (perhaps a European model) and durable construction. In addition to its classic antique aesthetic, these scales are great for kitchen use and this piece is in good working condition. It measures 21.5" long by 7" tall by 8.5" deep with plates.
