In this lot is offered four brass company name from Montana businesses. The first is a plate from Caird Engineering Works from Helena Montana. Founded in 1895 and closed in 1986 Caird Engineering was a majior part of developing Helena. This plate is 4" X 2". The next plate is a Northern Pacific (RR) North Coast Limited: In The Montana Rockies:Northern Pacific Railways. This brass plate has the Northern Pacific logo on the right and left next to two mounting holes. The North Coast Limited was a named passenger train operated by the Northern Pacific Railway between Chicago and Seattle via Bismarck, North Dakota. It started on April 29, 1900, and continued as a Burlington Northern Railroad train after the merger on March 2, 1970 with Great Northern Railway. This plate is in very good condition and measures 5" X 1". The next plate says Sold By Butte Machinery Company Butte, Montana: New and Used Mining Milling, Industrial and Electrical Machinery and Supplys. This plate is in good condition with a mounting hole at each corner. The plated measures 3 1/2" X 1 1/2". The last plate in the lot reads, Furnished By Northwestern Auto Supply Co. Billings Montana: Additional Contact Parts Can Be Ordered From Us. This plate measures 3" X 1" and has a mounting hole on the right and left side. The plate is in good condition with some patina on the back. These plates are a very nice collection of Montana industry.
