Featured in this lot is this antique carved and pressed oak and leather parlor chair circa late 19th century to early 20th century. This parlor chair features an oak construction with a tooled or pressed leather backing. The leather backing is intricately detailed and shows a group of men, some standing and some bent over or kneeling. The border shows a floral design with vines, leaves and flowers throughout. The leather backing is set into the oak backrest in the center of the chair and is held in place with brass tacks on the backside of the chair. The chair shows four straight legs with ball feet, featuring two support beams running from the front to the back and two support beams running from side to side. The chair shows some wear from its antique age and years of use, with the bottom spindle being broken but can be repaired. The leather section shows good condition as well with some slight cracking to the back, but no obvious signs of damage are noted. The chair Measures 39" high, 19" wide, by 19" deep.
