Featured in this lot is this antique cast iron and brass firestarter cauldron circa early 1900's. The cauldron used for firestarting became popular back in the 15th century and has stayed relevant since. The cauldron shows three legs with a obtuse body with a swivel handle and a brass lid and a removable handle. The cauldron shows a pumic stick that is fairly clean. The condition of this cast iron firestarter cauldron is preserved with some wear to the paint on the brass lid and shows some wear to the cast iron body but otherwise shows preserved condition. The measurements of this firestarter is 11 3/4" x 9" x 5". The collective weight of this firestarter is 8lb 12oz.
