The lot features an original set of four gilt-bronze 18th to 19th-century French Louis XVI Neoclassical candelabras wall sconces converted electrically in the mid-1900’s Hollywood Regency period and sold later by Hollywood designer Academy Lamps. The set shows the original French Louis XVI with Neoclassicism movement highly ornate design in solid bronze with the square plaque being a later addition when converted for the Hollywood Regency period into electrical and later refurbished by Academy Lamps. The conversion was done professionally and tastefully making these truly useful artworks from the 1700 to 1800’s. The set is very well kept with bright coloring and was featured in a luxurious Mountain Montana home in various Mountain Home magazines with these sconces visible. The set includes four sconces, each with two lights. Each sconce is 15.5-inches long by 9.5-inches wide by 5.5-inches deep.
