Featured in this lot we have a antique leather lined, woven fishing creel basket originating from the early 19th century. The creel shows a nice tight weave with leather around the rim of the lid, wrapped around the handle, and supporting the underside, with three broad leather straps. Additionally, the basket has a leather tool pouch mounted to the front, and a two point strap attached to the back side. The creel shows good condition overall with some slight wear.
