Featured in this lot is this Apache Indian Devil's Claw triangle basket circa 1920's. The basket features a wonderfully and professionally crafted Devil's Claw and willow shoot construction that shows a circular design with rounded shoulders and concave lip that shows polychrome triangle motif's woven into the basket. The Apache are also famous for their basket weaving, and they frequently use triangle patterns. These designs can symbolize various things, including arrows, mountains, or other significant cultural elements. The condition of this Apache basket is well preserved with no obvious signs of damage to the basket but otherwise shows a well preserved overall condition.
