The point shows a deep beautiful black flint material and is in excellent well-preserved museum quality condition. This is an authentic original dovetail notched spear point was collected in Kentucky. The spear point has an old collection museum tag that reads, “FM594 KY”. The riker case which is from the original collector is marked on the rear, “228-A5 Archaic 4 ½” Dovetail Black flint point Kentucky Book Value $1,300.00 G-8 Ralph Morgan 200 E. Texas D-200” and “4 ½ DOVETAIL G-8 value 1300 KT pg. 651 / 476”. This 9000-6000 BC artifact is from the Kentucky Native American Indians and is an exceptionally fine spear point. Provenance: From a multi-generation artifact collection spanning 80-100 years from Las Cruzes, New Mexico. The point is in excellent condition and measures 4 1/2”L x 1 3/8”W. Riker case is 4.5”x5.5” and 1” thick.
