This is an excellent authentic ancient pre-historic notched Dovetail / St. Charles long spear point. The point shows a mellow Jafar Jasper material and is in excellent well-preserved museum quality condition. This is an authentic original dovetail notched spear point in a very rare large size that was collected in Illinois. The spear point has a collection museum tag that reads, “1 ¾” X 5 ½” DOVETAIL ST. CHARLES DECATOR TYPE, CLASPPED WING 12-8-07 DESERT WEST AUCTION D-85”. This 9000-6000 BC artifact is from the Illinois Native American Indians and is an exceptionally fine spear point showing wonderful detail and an extraordinary size. Provenance: From a multi-generation artifact collection spanning 80-100 years from Las Cruzes, New Mexico. The point is in excellent condition and measures 5 5/8”L x 1 7/8”W. Riker case is 7”x8.75” and 1” thick.
