Included in this lot is a rare historic presentation Arlington Fire Department Assistant Chiefs Gold Front Badge. This historical item was presented to J.C. Shumaker by his department and dated 1915. The reverse side of the badge is engraved with the presentation of “Presented to J.C. Shumaker by members of Dept.” and "G.D. Resse New York - Gold Front." Also engraved with the date of “1915”. The badge measures 2.75' x 1.75". The badge is marked Gold Front which would imply the badge is made of solid yellow gold or has rolled on gold (not tested).
