Featured in this lot is this pair of Alpaca silver Pacific Northwest Indian eagle earrings from Lakota artist Armand American Horse (1982-). This pair of earrings shows a wonderfully crafted coin shape pair of earrings with a double layer to the Alpaca silver and an eagle head design. One of the most prominent features of Native American story telling is the use of animals. Of all the animals used, the eagle is by far the most honored creature. The eagle (represented mainly with a feather) is a symbol of love, friendship, honor, bravery, and mystical powers. The Armand American Horse hallmark can be seen on the back of the earrings. The condition of this pair of earrings is good, with slight patina to the textured second layer of Alpaca silver. The measurements of this pair of earrings are 2" x 1 5/8"x 1/8".
