The lot features a wonderful very rare Apatite 1.00 carat precious gemstone set in an Art Deco 14K yellow gold ring. The ring shows a fantastic solid 14K yellow gold construction with unique six claw like carved prongs with a wide groove which runs the entirety of the band. The ring has a rare round brilliant old cut Apatite gemstone which shows an approximate total weight of 1.00 carats. The stone shows a bright pink coloring with fine clarity. The ring is hallmarked “14K”. Apatite gemstones are particularly rare especially at 1.00 carats and larger. The ring shows overall very good condition and fine quality. The stone has been examined by an expert and found to be an authentic Apatite. The ring shows a size of 6 ¼ to 6 ½ US. Provenance: From a New York City jewelry store that operated from the 1800's (19th Century) until its closing in 1920. The contents were attic stored until their sale in 2019 in Wyoming.
